Mr. Norman Richard Joffe's Obituary
Norman R. Joffe, beloved son of Elaine F. Noland and Robert L. Joffe, was born on October 5, 1962 at Washington Hospital Center. Norman grew up in the Fort Washington area where he attended Tayac Elementary, Lord Baltimore Middle, and Gwyn Park High and graduated from Friendly High School in 1981. In school he ran cross country track and was on the wrestling team.
He was a volunteer fire fighter at Allentown Road Fire House. He worked in construction and plumbing. He then drove tow trucks, transported cars and dump trunk. He loved riding his motorcycle, bowling, pool and playing darts. Norman was very friendly and an avid talker; he would talk to anyone about anything.
He leaves behind his mother, Elaine F. Noland; step-father, Cleman Noland; father, Robert Joffe (Colleen); son, Tray L. Ogg; step-daughter, Cicily Collins (Chaney); granddaughter, Ellie; brother, Michael A. Joffe (Rita), sister, Nancy R. Joffe; nephews, Shawn B. Joffe (Nicole, Carson and Nevaeh) and Travis L. Joffe and niece, Rachel R. Williams.
Norman was preceded in death by his wife, Frances (Peanut) Ogg-Joffe; grandmothers: Alma H. Woodlief and Mark Joffe Feldman, Howard (Poppie) Ogg; and many aunts and cousins.
