Otto “Tojo” “Toe” Carl Steinhauser, 94, of Newburg, MD died on September 23, 2019. Otto was born in Newburg, Maryland on September 15, 1925.
He was preceded in death by his wife Madolyn (Cleary) Steinhauser, father Reinhold Steinhauser, mother Frieda Niebergall Steinhauser, son Carl Steinhauser, brothers Curtis (Barbara) and Dick (Peggy) and sister Anna Steinhauser Burnett (Cecil).
Otto is survived by his son Michael Steinhauser Sr.; grandson Michael Steinhauser Jr.; granddaughter Michele Steinhauser Flynn (Brian); great-granddaughters Madisyn and Molly; great-grandsons John Michael and Patrick; daughter-in-law Denise Dean Steinhauser; grandsons Jimmy Steinhauser and Carl Jr. (Angela); great-grandson Carter and great-granddaughter Callie Ray.
Otto was a truck driver, retired from Southern Maryland Oil. He enjoyed being a mechanic, gardening, cooking and watching Washington Nationals baseball.
Otto was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather. Otto was always smiling and ready to tell a story of days gone by.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 27, 2019 at Marbury Baptist Church at 10 AM until time of funeral service at 12 noon. Interment Trinity Memorial Gardens, Waldorf, MD. A repast will follow the interment at Marbury Baptist Church.
