Richard James " Dickie" Bladen, 76, of Brandywine
Richard James "Dickie" Bladen, 76, a resident of Brandywine for 41 years, formerly of Marshall Hall, passed away May 4, 2016 at Washington Hospital Center surrounded by his loved ones.
He was a professional truck driver, working for Budweiser, Koester's Bakery, Sunbeam Bakery and Besche Oil.
Born May 18, 1939, in Marshall Hall, he was the son of the late Ernest "Pete" Bladen and the late Mary E. Bladen.
He is survived by his companion, Brenda Jenkins, her son, Henry Jenkins of Bryans Road; sister Betty Peters and brother-in-law Pete Peters of Indian Head; sister Patricia Martin and brother-in-law Roger Martin of Waldorf; and brother-in-law Robert "Bobby" Adams of La Plata; daughter Ann Bladen Reed of Indiana; son Richard Bladen, Jr. of Indiana; daughter Crystal Samuels and son-in-law Richard Samuels of Hughesville; daughter Patricia Morder and son-in-law Shawn Morder of Prince Frederick; grandchildren, Robert Bradshaw, Lauren Comer, Brandon Samuels and Tori Morder and also survived by his loving doggie Coco.
Family and friends are welcomed for a visitation on Monday, May 9, 2016 from 2:00pm - 4:00pm and 6:00pm - 8:00pm at the Huntt Funeral Home, 3035 Old Washington Road, Waldorf.
A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at 11:00am at the funeral home.
Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman Beantown Road, Waldorf, immediately following the funeral service.
