Robert Alan Ford's Obituary
Robert Alan Ford, 65, fondly known as Bob, of Waldorf, Maryland, passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024 at the University of Maryland Charles Regional Medical Center in La Plata.
Born on August 8, 1958 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late Jones Clell Ford and Margaret May Ford. Bob worked as a Glazier in the Construction Industry for many years. He enjoyed listening to 70’s and 80’s Rock music, watching his beloved DMV sports teams, the Washington Nationals, Washington Capitals, Washington Redskins, Maryland Terrapins Football and Basketball, and Manchester United, but his greatest love was fishing and being with family and friends.
Bob is survived by his wife Karen of 43+ years; son Joel; daughter Erin; brothers Jim and Jeff; his in-laws Barbara and Robert Johnson, Kevin & Joann Johnson, Keith & Shelonie Johnson; nieces Jennifer and Jessica and their extended families; his fur babies Buddy, Chip & Denver; and several fishing buddies whom he loved.
A visitation will be held on Monday, July 1, 2024 from 6PM to 8PM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday, July 2, 2024 at 11AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646.
Entombment will follow the services at the Trinity Memorial Gardens and Mausoleum, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
