ROSE DRINKARD GOODE's Obituary
Rose Drinkard Goode, affectionately known as Rosie and “Tamps” to those closest to her, passed away on January 25, 2026 at the age of 97.
Rosie was born at home in Indian Head, Maryland, on May 14, 1928 to Grover Cleveland Drinkard & Myra Drinkard. She was one of eight children and was preceded in death by all of her
siblings. Family shaped her life from the very beginning and remained the heart of everything she did.
A devoted homemaker and mother, Rosie poured her heart into caring for others. Her life was marked by faithful service, deep love for her family and an unshakable devotion to Jesus and her
church. She had a gentle way about her that made everyone feel special and at home. Rosie delighted in flowers, antiques, shopping and especially time spent with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Her greatest joy was simply being with her family, whether at Sunday dinner, watching the kids play sports or simply telling stories and laughing at home.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Cleveland “Mickey” Goode, the true love of her life, with whom she now rejoices again.
Rosie is survived by her two daughters, Gay Morgan (Pete) and Cindy Howells (Terry); her grandchildren Mark Morgan (Andrea), Julie Martin (Matt), Joshua Howells, Drew Howells (Jenn); and her great grandchildren, Emma Lillis (Sean), Morgan Martin, Mark Morgan II, Leah Howells, Anna Martin, Evelyn Archer, Isla Howells and Amelia Howells.

in the presence of her Savior.
The family will receive friends at Potomac Heights Baptist Church on Thursday, February 5, 2026 from 11:00 AM until time of funeral service at 12 PM.
