Rose Helen Pierce's Obituary
Rose Helen Pierce, age 78 of Waldorf, Maryland, died February 11, 2020 at Genesis La Plata Center.
Rose was a self-employed day care provider for 25 years and was a member of Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church in Waldorf, Maryland. She was one of the most fearless women ever known. She loved her family, Redskins, and chocolate eclairs. She was also a beautiful mom, hero, and teacher who taught about God, love and grace, forgiveness, and patience. Family was truly blessed to have an angel like her to watch over them.
She was the daughter of Charles E. Simpkins and Dorothy L. Dyer. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her husband, John Milton Pierce, Sr.; her brothers, Buddy Simpkins, Danny Simpkins, and Dale Dyer; and her sisters, Joyce Simpkins and Vera Simpkins.
She is survived by her sons, Johnny Pierce, Derren Pierce, and David Pierce; her daughters, Gail Sue Loving and Cindy Euzent; her brother, Robbie Dyer; and her sister, Joann Lewis. She is also survived by 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren.
Visitation on Friday, February 14, 2020 from 9:30AM until Mass of Christian Burial at 11AM at Our Lady Help of Christians Catholic Church, 100 Village Street, Waldorf, Maryland 20602. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
In lieu of flowers, donations are asked to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital (Memorial & Honor Program), 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tennessee 38105-1942.
