Roy Theodore Roberts' Obituary
Roy Theodore Roberts, 81, of La Plata Maryland passed away on May 23, 2023. He was born in Charlottesville, Virginia to Violet Virginia and Lester Elmer Roberts on March 11, 1942.
As a self-made, hard-working man he was mechanically inclined and amazing with HVAC systems, ultimately retiring from Civil Service at Andrews Air Force Base where he worked as a Supervisor in the Civil Engineering shop.
Some of his favorite hobbies were drag racing, the Carburetor Club, golfing and bowling with his family and friends, watching old school NASCAR races, taking care of his granddogs, delivering coffee and smiles, and just sitting around talking and laughing.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Pamela; his 2 children, Keith and Amy; 3 sisters, Liz, Shirley, and Nancy; 3 brothers, John, Jim and Jack; and 3 grandchildren, Karis, Caleb, and Abby.
Services will be held on Tuesday, June the 13th at New Life Church – La Plata with visitation starting at 10:00am and a service of remembrance at 11:00am. Interment will be private for immediate family.
