Ruth Ann Alexander Richards Coombs' Obituary
Ruth Ann Alexander Richards Coombs, 76, of Indian Head, MD, passed away September 4, 2016.
Ruth Ann worked in the housekeeping department for a number of years at Genesis La Plata Center Nursing Home and was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea Catholic Church in Indian Head, MD. She enjoyed country concerts and Saturday outings with her daughter, Debbie. She also enjoyed traveling with and spending time with family.
She was the daughter of Charles Forrest Alexander and Margaret Ruth Nothey Alexander. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her step-son, Dennis Richards and her step-daughter, Linda Padgett.
She is survived by her husband, Reggie Coombs; her son, James Richards; her daughters, Deborah Hamilton and husband Thomas, Lisa Richards, Tammy Burgess and husband Timothy, and Tamara Clements and husband Steve; her step-daugher, Darlene Gilroy; her brother, Jerry Richards; her long-time beloved friend, Frances Abernathy; her grandchildren, Jimmy, Justin, Jeremy, and Erin; and her great-grandchildren, Jason, Keira, Jordan, Aaleah, Jace, and Jax. She is also survived by many friends and other family members who she loved dearly.
Friends were received on Thursday, September 8, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. with Prayer Service at 7 p.m. and where Funeral Services will be held on Friday, September 9, 11 a.m. at Raymond Funeral Service Chapel, 5635 Washington Ave., La Plata, MD 20646. Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD.
