Sandra Darlene Lagana's Obituary
Sandra "Sandy/Nana" Darlene Lagana, 81, of Temple Hills, Maryland, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 4, 2024, with her daughter-in-law by her side. Sandy is survived by her son, Mark Anthony Lagana; daughter-in-law, Connie Lagana; grandson, Brandon Joseph Lagana; granddaughter, Ashley Lagana Milcetic, and husband, Matthew Milcetic; and great-grandsons, Riley Townes Milcetic and Rhett Krk Milcetic.
She is preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Salvador Lagana; brother, Jack Anderson; son, Joseph Norman Lagana; daughter-in-law, Deborah Ann Lagana; father, Jack Norman Anderson; and mother, Louise Emma Tucker.
Sandy was born and raised in Washington, D.C. She married Joe on March 18, 1961. She worked as a secretary at the White House and retired from the Treasury Department, known for her organizational skills and excellence in typing. Sandy cherished spending time with her family and was an active member of the Indian Head Church of the Nazarene. She had a passion for connecting with people, learning about their families and lives, and was known for her generosity and willingness to help others.
Following Joe's passing, Sandy found solace in her new home at Angels Heart Assisted Living in Waldorf, MD. The compassionate staff members at the facility provided exceptional care for Sandy, treating her like one of their own and becoming an extended part of her family.
Visitation will be at the Indian Head Church of the Nazarene on Friday, May 10, 2024 at 9:00 AM until time of service at 10:00 AM. Burial will take place immediately following the service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, MD. Pallbearers are Brandon Lagana, Matthew Milcetic, Bobby Lagana, Robert Boarman, Tony Boarman, and Richard Speidel.
Memorial contributions in Sandy's honor may be made to the Indian Head Church of the Nazarene at 35 Raymond Avenue, Indian Head, MD, 20640.
