Sheryl Luvonne White's Obituary
Sheryl Luvonne White age 52 of Fort Washington, Maryland is survived by her loving family.
Sheryl was a beloved daughter, friend, auntie, and mother. Sheryl Luvonne White peacefully transitioned on Saturday April 22, 2023, at Holy Cross Hospital, Silver Spring, Maryland.
Sheryl was born on June 13, 1970, in Washington, D.C. to mother Zenobia Peace White and father the late Chester White. She was reared in Temple Hills, Maryland. She attended Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic School, and would receive her diploma from Potomac High School in Oxon Hill, Maryland.
At the young age of 17, Sheryl would begin her career in the government by participating in a school work program. She worked for the Internal Revenue Service as a secretary and would later become a manager. Sheryl would say that she never envisioned herself becoming a manager, but with the guidance and support from those around her, she would eventually become a well-respected and adored supervisor. Sheryl served an outstanding 36 years in the government.
She had her first and only child, Tonarra Pachelle White, in November 1992. In 2021, she became a pet parent to her second child Bella, affectionately known as Bel-lay.
Sheryl joined Journey United Method Church (formally known as United Methodist Church of the Redeemer) on September 16, 2012. She was a faithful member serving as the Treasurer, Communion Stewardess, Head Usher, and a member of the Puppet Ministry.
Sheryl loved to travel, spend hours talking to those that she loved, learning, and most importantly New Edition.
Although she has moved on from this lifetime, she leaves to rejoice in the memory of her life, her loving mother Zenobia; devoted daughter Tonarra; loving siblings Eric (Janie), Beverly, Pamela (Jonathan), and Chester (Kisha); niece Jonet, nephews Joshua, Jahmal, Jalen, Jaloni, and Justin; aunts, uncles, cousins, friends, church and work family; and last but not least her adoring pet Bella.
