Obituary for Shirley Ann Paulk
Shirley Ann Paulk, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and big sister, passed away peacefully on November 5, 2025, at the age of 77. She was born on May 5, 1948, in Griffin, Georgia, to the late James E. Smith and Ruth O. Smith. Shirley is survived by her devoted husband, Thomas Wayne Paulk; her loving sister, Mary Jane Hall (and husband James D. Hall) of Sanford, Michigan; and her cherished children, Karen L. Baldwin of Waldorf, Maryland, James L. Baldwin of Virginia, and Michael W. Paulk (and wife Amy Paulk) of Stella, North Carolina. She also leaves behind her grandchildren, Sierra White and Juliann White of Waldorf, Maryland; and many nieces and nephews, including Renee Conner (and husband Mike) of Longs, South Carolina; Jerry Paulk of Maryland; James A. Hall (and wife Shayna, and daughter Hailey Hall) of White Lake, Michigan; and Christopher Hall (and wife Lisa Hall, and sons Aiden Hall and Keegan Hall) of Ray, Michigan. Shirley will be remembered for her warmth, creativity, and generous spirit. She loved sewing and making stuffed animals, and took pride in her work as a homemaker. She also enjoyed gardening, traveling, and most of all, spending time with her friends and family. All who knew her will dearly miss her kindness, laughter, and love. Visitation 9am, followed by funeral services at 10am are planned for November 17th at the Marbury Baptist Church, 4670 Bicknell Road, Marbury Maryland. Following the services at the church, there will be a 12pm Graveside committal service at the Trinity Memorial Garden at 3221 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601. Finally, for service attendees there will be a repast in the fellowship center of the Marbury Baptist Church at 1pm. Floral remembrances, donations to the Marbury Baptist or online contribution to the Dementia Society of America would be greatest appreciated.
