Thomas Jay Ickes' Obituary
Thomas Jay Ickes, 80, of Waldorf, MD passed away peacefully on December 26, 2025 into the arms of Jesus. Tom was born on July 25, 1945 in Pleasantville, PA. The son of Glenn and Florence Suter https://Ickes.Tom was a loving husband to his surviving wife, Bonita Ickes. He was a devoted father and Pappy to his children, Matthew (Elizabeth), Phillip (Jalena)and Maria and grandchildren, Keegan, Layla, Aubrey, Annabelle ,Liam ,Emilia, Caleb, and Anelie. Tom graduated from Chestnut Ridge High School and moved to Washington, DC to work. After starting a family in Texas, he returned to DC and retired from the Census Bureau. He enjoyed collecting and refurbishing antiques. Much of his time was dedicated to being a father and then an involved Pappy.
