Vicky Marie Mullins' Obituary
Vicky Marie Mullins, 62, of La Plata Maryland passed peacefully at home on July 27, 2023 surrounded by her loving family. She is survived by her mother Carole Denman, her dedicated husband of 37 years Cliff Mullins, Son: Robert Mullins, Daughters: Jessica Grimm (Bryan), Kristin Mullins, Kaytlin Mullins (Jack Phelps), and Grandchildren: Logen, Oliver, Jaxen, Lincoln, and Ogden Grimm, Aidyn Mullins, Wednesday, Ember and Minnie Phelps. She is also survived by siblings: Linda Kraft (Mark), Skip Denman (Tracy) and Sue Ball (Chris) and Life-Long Best Friend, Lynne Sionko Richeau, as well as many close family and friends. She is preceded in death by her father Pete Denman, sister Patty Krahling, and granddaughter Leilah Dawn Coady.
Vicky was born on September 19, 1960 to Harold “Pete” Denman and Carole Groat Denman in Kenmore, New York. Vicky grew up in North Tonawanda, until her family moved to Camp Springs, Maryland in 1975. She graduated from Crossland High School in 1978.
After raising her four children she worked and retired from the Charles County Board of Education, as a Kindergarten educator at Walter J. Mitchel Elementary. Vicky was a devoted wife. She loved her family, having every Sunday gatherings with her children and grandchildren, RVing with friends, and spending time at the beach with her toes in the sand.
It would be wrong to say that Vicky lost her battle to breast cancer, because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was still there for her family and friends. When anyone else would have broken, Vicky remained strong and positive in her attitude and her faith. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly looks like. There was no quit in Vicky. She truly was one of a kind.
