Warren Richard Wilhelm's Obituary
After a hard-fought battle with pancreatic cancer, Warren Richard Wilhelm, age 83, of Brandywine, Maryland, passed away on August 3, 2023.
He was the son of the late Albert and Mary Wilhelm and was predeceased by his brother Vaughn. He is survived by his brother John Wilhelm, his wife of 58 years, Dorothy Ann Wilhelm, his two daughters Dawn Marie O’Donovan & husband Denis and Karen Ann Durning & husband Shawn, as well as two grandchildren, Ryan and Amanda O’Donovan.
Warren was born in Washington DC. He attended Calvin Coolidge Highschool and was a member of the US Army. He worked at Montgomery Ward for most of his career, in sales. He loved his home in Brandywine, Maryland where he enjoyed mowing the grass on his John Deere tractor (whether it needed it or not), rabbit hunting with his beagles, planting flower and vegetable gardens and spending time with his family. He liked to share his enjoyment of food, most notably oysters, prime rib and McDonalds quarter pounders while spending his afternoon watching old westerns, Blue Bloods, Yellowstone or his beloved Redskins.
A visitation will be held at Huntt Funeral Home in Waldorf, Maryland from 4–7 pm on Friday, August 11, 2023 and there will be a graveside service at Trinity Memorial Gardens in Waldorf, Maryland on Saturday, August 12, 2023 at 1pm.
