William J. Burke Jr.'s Obituary
William J. “Billy” Burke Jr., 84, of White Plains, Maryland, passed away on February 19, 2024 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
Born on May 14, 1939 in Washington, DC, he was the son of the late William J. Burke Sr. and Lillian Joanna Burke. Billy worked for Southern Maryland Floor for many years. He enjoyed playing golf and his cars.
Billy is survived by his wife Carolyn M. Burke; daughter Brenda Marie Burke and her partner Gary; son John Timothy Burke and his wife Carol; grandchildren Jamie Cochran (Chris), Joshua Denton (Rob), Timothy Burke, Austin Burke, and Amy Burke; Braelyn Cochran, Mason Cochran, Lillian Cochran, Autumn Cochran, and Jackson Cochran.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 16, 2024 from 10AM until time of service at 11AM at the Raymond Funeral Service, P.A., 5635 Washington Avenue, La Plata, Maryland 20646 with the Reverend Rodney Moye officiating.
Interment to follow at Trinity Memorial Gardens, 3321 Mattawoman-Beantown Road, Waldorf, Maryland 20601.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Billy’s name to the Hospice of the Chesapeake, 2505 Davis Road, Waldorf, MD 20603.
