William Jerome Jackson's Obituary
William Jerome “Jack” Jackson, passed away peacefully January 9, 2025, surrounded by family.
Jack¸ grew up in Washington, DC. He attended DC public schools, graduating from McKinley Tech High School. He worked as a mental health counselor at several mental health facilities, including Providence Hospital, The Psychiatric Institute of Washington, and St. Elizabeth’s Hospital. After retiring from St. Elizabeth’s, Jack retired a second time as an Instructional Assistant from the special education department of LaPlata High School in LaPlata, MD.
Jack is survived by his loving and devoted wife Gaye, daughter Shellie, son Marlon, sister Barbara (Reggie), 6 grandchildren, one great-granddaughter, two aunts, as well as many nieces and nephews and cousins. Services will be held at Briscoe Tonic Funeral Home, Friday, January 31, 2025. Viewing at 10 am, Celebration of life at 11:00 am. Interment will be at Trinity Memorial Gardens.
