William “Bill” Loudon Scott, of Brandywine, Maryland, passed away peacefully at home on April 14, 2026, at the age of 84.Bill was born on February 12, 1942, in Silver Spring, Maryland, to Theresa Lavina Scott and James Walter Scott.He is survived by his beloved soulmate, Beverly E. Saul “Susie”; his son, John E. Scott of Virginia Beach, Virginia; and his two loving brothers, Jim (Sherry) Scott of York, Pennsylvania, and Jack (Cynthia) Scott of The Villages, Florida.Bill was blessed with granddaughters Megan Scott of North Carolina and Ashley Younger of Sanford, North Carolina. He was especially proud of his great-grandson: Lance Corporal Christopher Younger, and great-granddaughters Kalie and Sara Younger. Bill often shared fond stories of his nieces, Linda Newell of Chambersburg, Pennsylvania, and Ann Ross of Shippensburg, Pennsylvania.Bill owned and operated Scott Auto Supplies for over 30 years, building lasting relationships with his loyal customers and community. He cherished his family, friends, and the many connections he made throughout his life.A passionate pilot, Bill enjoyed traveling and sightseeing in his aircraft, first flying his Piper Cherokee PA-160 and later his favorite, the Mooney 201. He was also an avid Washington Redskins fan, proudly supporting his team through the years.Second only to his love for Susie was his cherished boat, The Ocean Quest. Bill spent countless hours ensuring it was always ready to set out on the water. Together, Bill and Susie created many treasured memories, exploring new destinations and discovering new restaurants along the way. Every weekend was a new adventure.Bill was preceded in death by his parents, Theresa and James Scott.Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Friday, May 1, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m., with a prayer service at 12:00 noon at The Worship Center Church, 3075 Livingston Road, Bryans Road, Maryland.
